True Romance
It happened quite sudden,
When she was just eight,
Though if she’d been asked,
She’d say it was late.
#######
The one with the crown,
And the boy on the swing,
They laughed and they talked,
With words that did ring.
One offered a life,
The other such fun,
One said he was truth,
One shone like the sun.
And since she had read,
Of magic and kings,
She wanted the passion,
The kisses and things.
So she picked up the one,
With his head in the sky,
The one from a swing,
Whose love was no lie.
Yet eight soon did leave,
For nine and then ten,
And the one from a swing,
Took off in the end.
He’d said that his passion,
Was real and quite true,
But he’d never once uttered,
“Oh how I love you.”
And the one with the crown,
Came back with his grace,
Said I offer the way,
But she laughed in his face.
She was fourteen then fifteen,
There was an adult,
Some dignified fellow,
It wasn’t her fault.
For she’d read of the magic,
In queens and big kings,
And she wanted the fun,
So she went to his secret,
Quite far from his wife,
She joined in his darkness,
His much better life.
But soon she did age,
Right up to nineteen,
And this man she did know,
Just couldn’t be seen.
He pushed her away,
This secret they shared,
He acted so cold,
He no longer cared.
So the girl went her way,
And the one with a crown,
Jumped up in her sight,
As she was so down.
He smiled quite large,
And offered the real,
But still it was magic,
That she longed to feel.
For she’d read of the charm,
Of horses and kings,
And she wanted the story,
So she took up with him,
A confused little boy,
An aged old fellow,
Thought love was a toy.
He danced on the passion,
And tried not to lie,
But when she relaxed,
He gave it a try.
A hand on a leg,
A touch way too long,
He played her all rough,
A cruel kind of song.
And the girl who had read,
Of queens and big kings,
Realized there was more,
Then kisses and things.
She left everyone,
And looked for a crown,
The start and the end,
The one never down.
And soon she did see,
When she spied his grace,
That love can be found,
In a quieter place.
It isn’t the hunger,
Or a passionate try,
It’s up on a cross,
Where love is no lie.
########
So the one with a crown,
She gave him a chance,
A hope for real love,
And the truest romance.
Poem:
(Blue)
Just one in five,
The lucky few,
Will chase the high,
Till final blue,
All powder white,
This perfect line,
Such purchased bliss,
A rushing fine,
Or just a prick,
This needle bite,
Will tame the dragon,
And bring great flight,
Will chase till blue,
But this I pray,
Oh please not you
