From Him Above
(For Kathryn)
He spun the world,
All whisper fine,
Yet still made sure,
To say you’re mine,
#######
He watched the months,
Such countless years,
And held you close,
Through cross and tears,
He loves you dear,
In severed wrist,
He thinks you’re grand,
There is a list,
The way you try,
And how you glow,
Your secret laugh,
A special show,
He’s seen the hurt,
And it’s okay,
To him you’re beauty,
He gives this day,
######
So it is yours,
All second’s bliss,
He’s wrapped it special,
Tied ribbon kiss,
A happy birthday,
For you to share,
With him and her,
With those who care,
With lots of love,
Made just for you,
From him above.
Poem:
(This Phantom)
He wears a mask,
Of hurt and harm,
Yet claims the night,
A wicked charm,
Below a stage,
Obsession fine,
He feels her voice,
And sings she’s mine,
Or tightens noose,
While writing days,
An opera joined,
He dreams her ways,
And though she’s blocked,
Each hope and try,
He just can’t leave,
A love to die,
He is the Phantom,
But cant you see,
Oh God this Phantom,
Might just be me.
